Now accepting Barclays Pingit

It’s not like us to jump on any bandwagons, but this is a service that has really impressed us.
As of today, we are accepting payments by the Barclays Pingit service for customers in the UK. The service allows you to send money using your smartphone by just keying in our Pingit mobile number along with the order amount. Anyone can use Barclays Pingit to send money. You don’t need to bank with Barclays. As long as you have an Android, Blackberry or iPhone smartphone, you can download the free app and send payments to anyone direct from your bank account using just the recipients mobile number.

To send a payment for your order using Pingit is really easy. Place items in your basket as normal and during the checkout process (after you have registered or logged in) you can select Barclays Pingit as a payment option. Use the information provided on screen to send your payment and you’re done.

Limited Edition: Didn’t see this coming!

So… Pastor wins… OK, admit it, before the start of the season, who honestly thought that would happen!?
We love Williams and it was great to see them on the top step of the podium again. Lets hope it’s the first of many more this season.

Hello from our new HQ!

As previously blogged, we moved this weekend. It was hard work! Whoever thought it was a good idea to get an office on the first floor must have been mad! We had loads of heavy equipment, materials and a shed load (litterally) of stock to move. With help from the family, we finished moving all of the boxes and the screen printing press by Sunday evening.
So, we are now in our brand new premises in the center of Garstang! For those of you who know Garstang, which is probably very few, we are just outside the new(ish) swanky Booths supermarket. Where my desk is positioned I can see everyone that goes in and comes out of the shop… it’s very distracting!
Anyway, so here we are. The new place is superb. It’s not quite as big as the old one but does have heating and windows, something which the old place seriously lacked.
We are still in a bit of a mess. We still have some boxes to unpack and a load of new furniture to assemble but we’re getting there. A few more late nights ahead getting everything put away, tidied up and looking pretty.
The new place is split into 4 areas – the main office where all the printing, design and the main work gets done – the screen printing room where the… erm… screen printing is done (and we store all the ink, paint, screens and messy stuff) – the stock room where we hold the stock (imaginative) and lastly the packing room where, you guessed it, we pack stuff!

New Oil Slick Artwork

Keeping with our tradition of doing things differently, we have introduced a new range of artwork called ‘Oil Slick’. This style follows on from some of the new styles of t-shirts we are producing at the moment. The artwork is available in print form and will also be appearing on other products, like mugs, phone covers and more.

Phone Cases

We have changed our supplier, managed to massively reduce our production costs AND we are introducing cases that fit more than just iPhones!
Our new range of iPhone 4/4S and Samsung Galaxy S2 cases are available to order now. Our range is growing daily!
In June, we will also be introducing cases for the Samsung Galaxy Note, Blackberry 9900, iPod Touch and iPad2. As more cases become available to us, we hope to continue to increase our range.

We’re on the move…

At the moment, Unlap HQ is full of boxes. We have stuff everywhere. While this isn’t perhaps totally unusual, it’s considerably more messy than normal. This is because we are in the middle of packing up to move out to our new premises this weekend!
Thanks to a complete lack of information from our soon to be ex-landlord when we took out our lease, we have recently been told that our site is going to be redeveloped. We were given until July to find new premises but luckily we found something within a day of being told.
So we are moving into the center of the town of Garstang. Made famous by the then Manardi driver, Mark Webber, as he stopped off for a spot of lunch at the restaurant across the road while doing a cross country bike ride. Other than than, very little has happened or indeed happened since in Garstang… until this weekend!
Our new premises has heating (yay!) and windows (double yay!) and even has running water – something we have lacked at the current place for about 3 months. So, as you can probably gather, we are rather looking forward to moving into the new place!
Obviously, due to the amount of equipment, stock and furniture we have to move, we are a bit upside-down at the moment and this is likely to continue until Monday next week when we hope to be fully up and running again. This may mean a slight delay on some orders while we get everything sorted but we are hoping to keep any disruption to a minimum. Really not looking forward to dismantling and re-assembling our screen printing machine…
Anyway, the website will be available as normal and e-mails will be checked as normal so, as ever, should you need anything, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us!

Donington BTCC Programme Discount

Those eagle eyed amongst you spotted our little spread in the Donington BTCC programme last weekend. Not bad huh!? It’s our second appearance in a BTCC programme now and we hope it wont be our last.
You may have also noticed a little advert offering 10% off your order with us. Well… there was an error in the advert in that it was showing that the voucher would expire in March. The complete muppet that put this in has been given a 2 second penalty and is currently standing in the naughty corner… (ok, it was me…)
Just to confirm, the voucher expires on the 22nd April (this Sunday) and not 22nd March as the advert states. The voucher will still work on the 22nd March though if you have a DeLorean with a Flux Capacitor.
